The project was funded by the EC, Horizon H2020 programme under the Future Internet Research Experimentation (FIRE+) initiative. RAWFIE provided research facilities for the testing of unmanned vehicles.

The project provided a unique platform across the space and technology with numerous test beds for research and experimentation in land, aerial and maritime environments. It supported experimenters with smart tools to conduct and monitor experiments in the domains of IoT, networking, sensing and satellite navigation. As one of 13 partners in the project, ABERON developed the Visualisation Engine and the VT tools for the platform.
