Kalina Ganeva

Sociologist

Kalina has a bachelor's degree in sociology from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ” (2011). Between 2012-2014 holds a master's degree in the program of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology "Language and Publicity - Philosophical and Sociological Approaches" at the New Bulgarian University. Between 2014-2017 is doing a PhD at NBU on "Online sharing platforms: new forms of social solidarity and mechanisms for building trust."

Over the years, Kalina has participated in many different research projects - "Civic practice for students and teachers. The protests after 2011 ” (Foundation for Humanitarian Studies); "Oral History of Communism in Bulgaria (1944-1989)" (Institute for the Study of the Recent Past of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences); "Construction of the section of the Nabucco Gas Pipeline on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria" (Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH and Nabucco Gas Pipeline Bulgaria LTD); "From civic education to civic competencies" (Faculty of Philosophy of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”, Bulgaria). She is a participant in conferences and seminars on various topics.

Kalina has experience in developing research methodology, fieldwork, conducting in-depth and biographical interviews, data analysis. Her research interests focus on social media, digital media, trust, sharing economy, collaboration economy, consumer attitudes and social entrepreneurship.
