Alan is Managing Partner of ABERON. He has an Economics and Accounting Degree from the University of Tasmania and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois. As an international consultant, he has worked with Stanford Research Institute, with the Ford Foundation, with USAID Highland (Opium) and others.

Alan has experience in Agricultural Business at California State University, Fresno, California, USA and enterprise level software design, development and marketing with Argos Software, Fresno, California. As owner of the Abelisk Software, he provides IT services for corporate management and governance, strategic planning and software development.

Research and consulting assignments include the agricultural sector, land use optimization, food marketing and distribution, irrigation management, domestic water billing, inventory and sales management for distributors, warehouse management, maintenance management and recycling operations.
